God begins to teach us an analogy between humans and trees on the very first page of His Word.  Trees are miraculous sustainers of human life on earth and a very good example of God's care and provision for us. Preachers and writers in the 1800s found this a fine topic to expound upon, but it has fallen out of favor these days. Why?
